Where is Insadong?

Everyone has been talking about Insadong. "It's so fun!" "It's very cool." "It's an art district." "It has cobbled streets and is closed to car traffic; it's like being in Europe." "There are lots of cool things to buy at Insadong." Insadong.

Jana and I decided to go to Insadong. We followed the subway, we took the right exit... but we did not end up in Insadong. We saw some cool things, though, like these awesome drums:

And this flute shop:

And this restaurant with a crazy octopus pooting some red clouds out of its... self:

And this gate:

And these treat shops:

And these rice muffin things:

That we ate (yummy):

And the park where all the old men hang out:

Called Tapgol Park:

Because of the old Pagoda displayed there:

It was a rather pretty place:

And that pretty much took up our day, so we went home through this long hallway:

Wow! thanks for sharing. I really liked the one picture of Matt, too. Great how he takes the picture and is in it. Love the drums. Love those girls!

Korea looks so fun! Way better than Baltimore, for sure. We miss you guys!

You do look like you are having tons of fun. It seems like there are so many cool places to visit. In an attempt to appreciate cool places around here, Scott and I are taking our little one on her first trip to Anapolis and the ocean today. Not quite as exotic as Korea, but fun nonetheless.

And don't forget the part of that day where we were mistaken for "Russians" over three times by various people. Whoa there! Whoa. Although, if we really were Russian, how would we understand them asking us in English if we were Russian?

because english is the International LAnguage, silly goosechick. silly pippingoosechick.
