We Found Insadong.

So, we found Insadong (with Matt's help), and the rumours were true. It is a pretty cool place, full of fun shops and art and people.

Here we are checking out some scarves and enjoying the trhong of people. It's a pretty popular place it seems.

This is Jana with her new scarf:

They had lots of really cool antique-style paper with flowers and leaves pressed into it. I bought some at this shop:

Then Matt saw this arcade, where he is pretty sure was the first arcade at which he ever played Pump It Up. It's a landmark for him.

This is the coolest thing we saw at Insadong:

Here's a man making nizzle - I mean - noodles.

Look at those noodles fly! We knew we had to eat there, and we did. Here we are eating delicious noodles made by the noodle man in the window:

On our way out we saw these cute stone frogs. We hoped one or both might turn into a prince for Jana, but we didn't have any luck.

It's all for the best, I'm sure.

On the subway ride home I tripped over Jana's foot, since she always stands with one foot sticking waaaaaaaaaay out like a courtier with a pointed shoe to elongate his leg.

It was a fun day, nevertheless.

Again, the reference to Jana being a courtier type person is just very funny to me.

I would really like to see a picture of jana's foot standing like a courtier.

So would I...

Perhaps I ought to clarify that the clause beginning with "like" modifies not Jana's foot but the whole clause "she always stands with one foot sticking waaaaaaaaaay out." Perhaps placing an additional "stands" after "courtier" would avoid the ambiguity.

Or.. Perhaps the true reason why Jana stands thus with her leg outstretched is not because she is a courtier type person, but because her foot has pertentious ideas about going to court and extends its foot (i.e. the toe) as a courtier would do.

I leave it to you, fair readers.

fair readers, my foot!

I guess it's nice, tifawee, to blame your tripping on someone else for once.

although I have to say I'm not sure I trust that "surprised" look on pipchick's face. hmmmm.

HAHAHAHA!

Now that you mention it, I see nothing of the contrite in Janakin's face. Her foot, whether it be courtly or otherwise, is definitely suspect.
