Here is a close up of my first painting and the progress on it so far.
Since it takes a long time for oils to dry, I've started another painting to work on while the other is drying. So far it looks like this:
It will hopefully look like this when it's finished:
I love the colours in this last one. Beauty!

Awesome possum! You are doing such a good job. And you will certainly have to teach me when I come. :D
I'm so proud of you!!! Way to expand your horizons. The paintings look fantastic - the colors in that bottom photo are incredible. So fun for you!
That looks like so much fun. Don't you love learning new things?!
I don't know if you've noticed it, but it seems that there is something slightly addictive about the smell of linseed oil...
How fun that you are developing a new talent! That second one looks like it will be beautiful.
Well!!! I typed in the address for your blogspot and got a PORN site instead. I only had one letter wrong. I won't tell you which one. I am on Suzanne and Neil's computer so. . .who knows what mischief this has caused.
I want more entries!!!!
Oh, and just so you know, Mom looked at your blog and is really impressed with your oil painting. She went off for at least five minutes about how talented at art you always were. Then she tagged on at the end that all her children are extremely talented in so many ways, if they would only develope those talents... I have more to say about this, but I won't put it in the blog. However, I will say that I was chuckling at the end of the conversation, amused with the whole conversation and yet at the same time slightly frustrated. And I even contemplating taking some painting classes of my own. If oil painting was on the docket for Enrichment activities where I am, you can bet I would be there in a flash.
I actually miss having conversations like that with Mom. I need to call her more often.
